Happy prince (Oscar
Wilde)
The story, happy prince, is about a prince who
was the ruler of some country. When he was in power, he was not aware of the
problems of poor people. But after his death, his statue made of pure gold was
placed on a high place in the center of the city of poor people. Now he was
able to see the sorrow and sufferings of the poor. In form statue he wished to
serve the sufferings humanity. By chance a swallow came to him becoming his
supporter. The prince saw many scenes of human misery. He asked the swallow to
give all the parts of his body to the poor. The sapphires fixed in the place of
his eyes and the ruby fixed in hilt of his sword was given to the poor. Now his
statue became ugly. The swallow also died in service to humanity.
When mayor of the city and his councilors looked at the statue, they felt sorrow at its shabby condition. They said,, it is little better than a beggar,, they decided to replace it not be melted and its was thrown away on a heap. Although the shabby statue of the prince and the dead body of the swallow did not have any attraction for the people, yet they became the most precious thing in the eyes of God. So it is said, God loves those people who love his creature,
کہانی
"ہیپی پرنس" ایک شہزادے کے بارے میں ہے جو کسی ملک کا حکمران تھا۔ جب وہ
طاقت میں تھا تو وہ غریب لوگوں کے مسائل سے آگاہ نہیں تھا۔ لیکن اس کی موت کے بعد
اس کا مجسمہ جو خالص سونے کا بنا ہوا تھا، غریبوں کے شہر میں ایک اونچی جگہ نصب
کیا گیا۔ اب وہ غریبوں کے دکھ اور تکلیفوں کو محسوس کر سکتا تھا۔ مجسمے کی شکل میں
اس نے دکھی انسانیت کی خدمت کرنے کی خواہش کی۔ اچانک ایک ابابیل اس کا مددگار بن
کراس کے پاس آیا۔ شہزادے نے انسانی تکلیف کے بہت سے مناظر دیکھے۔ اس نے ابابیل سے
کہا کہ وہ اس کے جسم کے تمام حصے غریبوں کو دے دے۔ وہ نیلم جو اس کی آنکھوں میں
نصب تھے اور وہ ۔۔۔ جو اس کی تلوار کے دستے میں نصب تھا، غریبوں کو دے دیئے گئے۔
اب مجسمہ بدصورت رہ گیا۔ ابابیل بھی انسانیت کی خدمت میں مر گیا۔
جب شہر کے
میئر اور اس کے کونسلروں نے مجسمے کو دیکھا اور اس کی خستہ حالی پر افسوس کا اظہار
کیا۔ انھوں نے کہا" یہ کسی بھکاری سے بہتر نہیں" انھوں نے اس کی جگہ ایک
خوبصورت مجسمہ رکھنے کا فیصلہ کیا۔ انھوں نے اس مجسمے کو ایک بھٹی میں پگلایا۔
لیکن دل کو نہ پگلایا جا سکا اور اسے مٹی کے ڈھیر پر پھینک دیا۔ اگرچہ شہزادے کا
خستہ حال مجسمہ اور ابابیل کا مردہ جسم لوگوں کےلیے کشش نہیں رکھتے تھے، پھر بھی
وہ انسانیت کی خدمت کی وجہ سے خدا کی نظر میں سب سے قیمتی بن گئے۔ اس لیے کہا جاتا
ہے کہ "اللہ تعالی ان لوگوں سے پیار کرتا ہے جو اس کی مخلوق سے پیار کرتے
ہیں"
